Fetty Wap daughter Lauren has died aged four with the news confirmed by her mother in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
Lauren Maxwell's mother, American dancer and music artist Turquoise Miami, confirmed that she had passed away.
There had been reports last month that Lauren, who was born on February 7, 2017, had passed away but there were no details or cause of death given for the rapper's young daughter.
The tragic news was confirmed on Sunday when Fetty Wap's ex confirmed it on Instagram in a heartbreaking post.
Sharing a video of Lauren in a swimming pool, she wrote: "This is my amazing, beautiful, funny, vibrant, loving, talented, smart and hardheaded princess mermaid Aquarius."
The caption continued: "If you see this post scrolling by with her comment or just say to yourself "I love you LAUREN" because they say that souls can feel your love #rip [broken heart emoji]"
Fetty has not officially confirmed Lauren's passing, but it appeared that he shared a tribute to his daughter last month.
After performing at Miami's Rolling Loud festival last Sunday, the rapper posted an Instagram story: "LoLo daddy did that s**t for you last night baby girl."
He added a butterfly, dove and heart emoji to the post.
He then wrote "Listen LoLo" across the screen as he shared a video of him singing his hit-single Come My Way.
Fetty, who was born Willie Junior Maxwell, rose to prominence when his 2015 single Trap Queen reached number two on the Billboard Hot 10 in the United States.
He was reportedly in a relationship with Turquoise around the time Lauren was born.
The rapper is thought to have six children by five mothers, with Lauren being his fifth child.
Turquoise, who is also known as Lisa, has hit out previously, claiming that there was a lack of parenting from Fetty and that he did not provide enough financial support for Lauren.
He has not responded to the claim even after Turquoise posted on Instagram: "Y'all I'm finna book this flight so I can personally ask this n**** when he plans to pay child support or get his daughter cause it’s been two years and I’m curious.
"I am no longer going to beg a n**** to be a dad to do all the things a dad is supposed to do."
