Germany will not follow Britain's lead in proscribing Hezbollah and labeling it as a terrorist group, Minister of State Niels Annen told Der Spiegel magazine.
Iranian Foreign Ministry on Monday condemned the United Kingdom's decision to label Hezbollah as a terrorist group, saying that London has committed a strategic mistake that mirrors the depth of its misunderstanding of regional issues. “Hezbollah is a resistance, legal and official force which has struggled to support the Lebanese people and the country’s independence and territorial integrity,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi, adding that Britain is not paying serious attention to establishing peace and security in the region.
