Kataeb politburo member Joelle Bou Abboud was not surprised of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah’s statement, highlighting that it had been always clear that he is the one calling the shots in a Hezbollah government that coerces a settlement.
In an interview with ‘Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath’ news channel, Bou Abboud stressed that it appears that Nasrallah decides on behalf of the President, Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Parliament or if the government will be toppled or not.
She called for enforcing accountability on all who inflict sanctions and disorder in Lebanon and who relinquish the state’s sovereignty to foreign axes.
“The Kataeb party did not take part in the current government over its Hezbollah association and the party’s ministers walked out from the previous Cabinet when they feared being false witnesses to the people,” she declared.
The Kataeb official voiced out the party leader’s demands of the government’s resignation and the formation of a neutral government of specialists that would quickly establish austere reforms and organizes early Parliamentary elections.
“The new Parliament will be the one to produce a new Cabinet that rescues the country”
“Everyone who got involved in the settlement is to blame and no one can toss responsibility on the other because everyone is an accomplice in partitioning and dividing the ‘block of cheese’,” she blasted, adding that “they all approved on the ranks and salary scale and on handing over Lebanon’s sovereignty to Hezbollah.”
