Kataeb MP Elias Hankache on Friday urged the Cabinet to step down following eight days of protests voicing out long simmering anger against corruption.
“It is about time the government resigns after 8 days of protests that drew millions of Lebanese to the streets,” Hankache urged on Twitter.
“The secret for the protest’s success is that it is not politicized. It is from and for the people… and it will continue being so,” he added.
“It is time that a government of specialists is formed to manage early elections that would generate a new Lebanon we dream of,” he wrote.
