Famous Disney characters will be featured on road signs in UK to shed light on safety in a new collaboration between Disney Junior and road safety organization Brake.
Signs won’t be actually placed on roads, but will rather feature in classrooms and safety guides to be distributed to nurseries, schools and parents.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck will be among the characters to be added the signs, as designed by Britain's official road sign designer Margaret Calvert.
“The signs would help teach young children important lessons of the road. It was an enjoyable challenge collaborating with Disney Junior and Brake on an important subject, and by using such recognizable characters I hope they help to capture the attention of children, and parents too,” Calvert noted.
"Our vision is a world where all children can enjoy safe and healthy journeys, which is why we're always working to improve the safety and welfare of children on UK roads,” community engagement manager at Brake, Dave Nichols, stated.
