Memphis Depay won over the Barcelona fans in just a few minutes on his debut against Girona on Saturday.
It wasn't just his goal that impressed many, but his overall performance, as both supporters and those in the media were full of optimism over the club's new signing.
It was the perfect end to a hectic week for Memphis; he's happy and that translated onto the pitch. The Dutch forward could be seen smiling and linked up well with his new teammates, despite the short time he's been with the group.
Since landing in Barcelona on Monday, Memphis has barely had a moment's rest, between being shown around the club, training, having his medical, signing his contract, being presented as a new signing and the 48 minutes against Girona, where he scored a penalty.
He showed just why the club have brought him in, despite hardly training in recent weeks. Memphis is a player who can take a man on, shoot, is quick and is physically strong.
The 27-year-old posted two photos on social media from his first run-out with Barcelona. The first image shows him celebrating his goal with his classic fingers-in-ears celebration, and the second shows him pointing to the sky.
In only a few days Memphis has shown that he's a great character, and the club took to social media to wish fans a good Sunday by posting a picture of their new man alongside compatriot Frenkie de Jong.
Memphis has certainly started his Barcelona career on the right foot.
