Paris has now become the world’s priciest city for expatriates; a title that it shares with Singapore and Hong Kong, a survey announced on Tuesday.
It is the first time in more than three decades that three cities get evenly ranked top, The Economist Intelligence Unit said.
Paris is the only Eurozone city featuring in the top 10, rising from the second position last year, and from the seventh place two years ago.
The top ten ranking also includes Osaka, Seoul, Zurich, Geneva, Copenhagen, New York, Los Angeles and Tel Aviv.
Damascus and Caracas were ranked the cheapest.
