A 2,500-year-old mummy belonging to an Egyptian high priest was unearthed at an ancient burial site in Egypt during the live broadcast of Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown. The find, carried out by Egyptologist Dr Zahi Hawass, was made at Al-Ghorifa in Middle Egypt, where a sealed sarcophagus was opened to unveil the mummy of a “Great of the Five Priest of Thoth” covered from top to bottom with gold banding and other artifacts.
