Lebanon urged Friday the UN to act to end Israeli violations of Lebanese airspace, a day after Israel warplanes attacked targets in Syria from the country.
Israeli jets and missiles flew over Lebanon Thursday night to strike targets in the countrysides of Damascus and Homs.
The Syrian military said in a statement that "the Israeli enemy carried out an air aggression this evening with bursts of missiles from southeast Beirut". No casualties were immediately reported following the raids.
