Beirut Port Still Contains 1000 Tons of Explosive Materials, Journalist Reveals

Journalist Timour Azhari on Friday revealed that the Beirut port still contains dangerous and explosive materials estimated to weigh about a thousand tons, a month after concluding their treatment by a German company.

“We have to say it as it is: what we found here was a second Beirut bomb,” Azhari wrote on Twitter.

“That's from the director of the German company tasked with removing *1000 tons* of explosive chemicals dumped in 52 containers at Beirut's port for decades,” he said.
