Speculation continues over the fate of the European football season in light of the emerging crisis of the Corona virus, which led to the suspension of all sports activities in the old continent until further notice.

The sports field has been busy during the recent period in the search for a way out of the current predicament, as clubs, continental federations and leagues links seek to resume activity and complete season competitions, where the option of complete cancellation is the worst scenario for all.

The UEFA Champions League is one of the UEFA’s priorities, as UEFA continues its meetings to discuss scenarios for completing the competition, which stopped at the final price due to the pandemic of “Covid-19”.

“Sky Sport Italy” highlighted in a report on the new European Union plan to complete the Champions League competition, which the continental union will discuss the possibility of implementing during its next meetings.

The Italian Network said that the plan is to hold the remainder of the continental championship during the period from 7 to 29 August next, to hold a match every 3 days, noting that the idea is to resume the competition after the end of all European leagues.

She pointed out that the closest scenario for application is holding the remaining return matches from the round of 16 for the Champions League on August 7 and 8, then holding the round trip semi-final and semi-final matches every three days, provided that the final match will be held in Istanbul on the 29th of the same month.

According to this plan, the first-leg semi-final matches will take place on August 11 and 12, while the second leg will take place on the 14th and the 15th of the same month, then the semi-final first-leg competition will take place on August 18 and 19, while the second round will take place on the 21st and 22nd of the same month.
